About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Cleanliness Specialist to join our team at The Spinney, a service for male patients with personality disorder and/or mental illness.

As a Cleanliness Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the service, including wards, office spaces, bedrooms, and visitors' areas.

You will work closely with the maintenance team to ensure all areas of the service are spotless and able to confidently deliver high-standard cleaning services.

As a member of our staff bank, you will enjoy the flexibility to choose shifts that align with your schedule at £13.50 per hour, including a 12.07% pay uplift, and receive weekly pay.

You will also receive all necessary training to get you started and join the dedicated team, where you can make a positive difference and be part of changing lives for the better.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain required security standards of the hospital by following relevant policies and procedures as defined by the Hospital.
  • Be an active member of the team with a range of responsibility over the day-to-day operation.
  • Maintain excellent telephone etiquette and ability to meet and greet visitors in a professional manner.
  • Establish and maintain good working relationships with all staff, visitors, and service users.
  • Help create a positive culture.
  • Undertake any other tasks requested that are appropriate for the post.
  • Attend mandatory and statutory training on an annual basis as required by Elysium Healthcare.

Requirements

  • Have previous experience of cleaning within a similar environment.
  • Enjoy cleaning and get satisfaction from a job well done.
  • Prioritise duties and responsibilities effectively.
  • Be a good communicator.
  • Have good attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness.
  • Ability to spot and resolve problems efficiently.

About The Spinney

The Spinney is a service which offers a range of care settings for male patients with personality disorder and/or mental illness. The purpose-built medium, low secure and rehabilitation wards, as well as a psychiatric intensive care unit (PICU), are all set within an 11-acre site with extensive woodland and landscaped areas.

You will be working alongside a multidisciplinary team at The Spinney who have previously been recognised by the Association of Psychological Therapies (APT) for their ability to reinforce positive behaviour, prevention of challenging behaviour, and successful interventions in a secure care setting.
