At Statom Group Ltd., we prioritize the health and safety of our employees and stakeholders. We are seeking an experienced Health and Safety Coordinator to ensure that our rigorous safety standards are met across all operations. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring health and safety policies and procedures. You will conduct risk assessments, facilitate safety training programs, and ensure compliance with all relevant legislation. By promoting a culture of safety within the organisation, you will play a crucial role in minimising risks and creating a safe working environment for all.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Facilitate health and safety training and awareness programs for employees to promote a culture of safety.
  • Collaborate with project managers to ensure compliance with safety regulations and best practices.
  • Maintain accurate records of health and safety incidents and performance metrics to inform decision-making.
  • Act as a liaison with regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with legislation and industry standards.
  • Prepare reports and presentations on health and safety performance to management to inform strategic decisions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a health and safety role, preferably in construction or engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in conducting risk assessments and safety audits.
  • Ability to develop and deliver effective training programs.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • NEBOSH certification or equivalent is highly desirable.
