Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Area Sales Manager to join our team in Watford, Hertfordshire. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for selling high-quality building products to national and independent merchants, buying groups, stockists, retailers, and small to medium housebuilders.

Salary and Benefits:
The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary of £50,000 (negotiable) plus a 20% bonus and a hybrid company car. You will also enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, pension scheme, and opportunities for professional development.

Key Responsibilities:
This is a field sales position that requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Your primary responsibilities will include:
  • Selling high-quality building products to customers in the Northern Home Counties region.
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with key accounts, including national and independent merchants, buying groups, stockists, retailers, and small to medium housebuilders.
  • Liaising with the internal technical sales team to ensure that specification writing is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Working closely with a dedicated specification manager to identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to increase sales.

Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you must have:
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in field sales, preferably in the building products industry.
  • A proven track record of sales success, with a strong understanding of customer needs and preferences.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues.
  • A 'can-do' attitude, with a strong work ethic and a commitment to delivering results.
