We are seeking a dynamic and positive individual to join our team at Stroud Library within the Gloucestershire area.

The successful applicant will play a key role in the day-to-day operations, development, and organisation of the library.

As a Library Assistant, you will be the public face of the Library Service, ensuring that our users have access to all the services that the libraries provide.

You will be responsible for delivering activities and events such as Baby Bounce and Rhyme and Sensory Story times.

You will need to master the library ICT systems and be able to offer basic advice on the use of computers and tablets to those who require it.

The successful applicant should have and be able to demonstrate in their personal statement:

  • Excellent and proven customer service experience.
  • Be a team player with strong communication and organisational skills
  • Have good experience of working with or organising events for children
  • Strong ICT skills
  • A knowledge of the services libraries offer and the role libraries play in the community
