Job Title: Senior Planner Energy and Climate Change

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Planner to join our Energy and Climate Change team in Truro. As a Senior Planner, you will play a key role in shaping the future of our energy and climate change projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare planning applications and assist in project management to ensure the project team is up-to-date and working to schedule.
  • Prepare Planning Statements, Design and Access Statements, EIA Screening Requests, and complete application forms.
  • Support senior colleagues to progress projects from inception to completion.
  • Client and Case Officer liaison.
  • Appraise new development opportunities, including site appraisals for energy and minerals projects.
  • Undertake site visits.
  • Research on live applications, development plans, supplementary guidance, and other critical information for client reports.
  • Support with proposal writing and work winning.
Requirements:
  • Hold a good Town Planning or other relevant degree.
  • Be actively working towards Chartership in Town Planning or the environmental sector.
  • Have demonstrable experience in the English planning system.
  • Have a good technical knowledge of different application types, legislation, and planning policy.
  • Hold a full UK driving licence.
  • Have strong report writing and communication skills.
