Transaction Management Associate Role

GIC Private Limited is a leading global long-term investor, working at the point of impact for Singapore's financial future and the communities we invest in worldwide. As a key member of the Investment Services and Transaction Management team, you will leverage data and emerging technology to provide investment services and transaction management services to the Private Equity investment teams globally.

The Transaction Management team plays a critical role in working in-step with the investment teams to project manage the smooth and timely closing of investments within the GIC Private Equity strategies. This involves a general understanding of the alternative investment sector, legal documentation, and concise communication with various stakeholders.

The number of strategies covered by the Transaction Management team, as well as the significant deal flow, requires extreme attention to detail, elite organizational and time-management skills. Altogether, these are vital to be effective in dealing with the complex nature of the deals and short timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be the go-to resource for all process queries or application of processes/policies
  • Be the main middle office point of contact for external counterparties such as counsels, custodians, and admin agents for all KYC/AML clearances and query resolution
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely exchange of KYC documentation and funding for new investments, evidence of deal closings, and resolution of any related queries
  • Upload complete records of closing documentation to the document management system
  • Maintain correct contacts lists for all investments
  • Assist with notarization of documents and procuring signatures as required
  • Assist with departmental data collection initiatives
  • Perform opportunistic ad-hoc tasks as assigned by the Transaction Management Team

Requirements:

  • General familiarity of the investment sector and general knowledge of private sector investing
  • Awareness of documentation of private transactions, company secretarial practices, and the nuances of PE transactions
  • Appreciation of the commercial, regulatory environment for private sector transactions
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and deals at any given time
  • 3-4 years' experience in middle office support in investment documentation/structuring and operations
