Teaching Assistant Opportunity in a Friendly Primary School

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our Reception class team at a 2-form entry Primary School in the BS4 area of Bristol. As part of a large Trust, our school provides high-quality education for primary-aged children, supporting families and the community around them.

About the Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the Class Teacher to support small group activities and sometimes work with SEN children. You will be expected to communicate continuously with the Class Teacher to develop activities that meet the needs of all pupils across the class, identifying any challenges or additional support that some may require.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Class Teacher in planning and delivering lessons to meet the needs of all pupils.
  • Work with small groups and individuals to support their learning and development.
  • Assess the child's development and adapt activities to challenge the pupil.
  • Communicate effectively with the Class Teacher and other EYFS staff to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
