Victims Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Victims Support Specialist to join our team as a Domestic Abuse Advocate. This critical role involves providing confidential outreach support services to victims/survivors of domestic violence and abuse at high risk levels in the community.
As part of this position, you will work closely with agencies such as the Police and MARAC, accepting referrals and delivering high-quality support services to meet individual needs. You will develop and maintain confidential files, including computerized case management systems, and review and update Individual Support Plans regularly.
You will provide language support to users in their indigenous language, coach them to raise awareness of Life in the U.K (systems, cultures, and laws), and offer practical help regarding their cases through the criminal justice system.
The ultimate goal is to empower users to move from crisis and high-risk situations to self-development and safe independence.
Key Responsibilities- To provide outreach support services to victims/survivors of domestic violence and abuse
- To develop and maintain confidential files and case management systems
- To provide language support and coaching to users
- To work collaboratively with agencies and stakeholders
- Experience working with BAME communities and Black Asian Minority Communities
- Knowledge of relevant legislations (Children's Act, Safeguarding Children, etc.)
- Qualified IDVA or ISVA
- Ability to work within safeguarding guidelines
A competitive salary of £40,000-£45,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits package. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with a dedicated team and make a real difference in the lives of victims/survivors of domestic violence and abuse.
