About the Role:

The Food Safety Compliance Specialist will lead the development and implementation of food safety management systems to ensure compliance with Diageo's Global Risk Management Standards, ISO 9001:2015, and FSSC22000.

Reporting to the Governance Manager, you will be responsible for creating a culture of food safety compliance across the site, leading internal audits, and implementing strategic plans to drive continuous improvement in food safety.

You will work closely with the site team to maintain the food safety management system, ensuring regulatory compliance and meeting internal and external accreditation requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement food safety management systems to ensure compliance with Diageo's Global Risk Management Standards, ISO 9001:2015, and FSSC22000.
  • Lead internal audits to ensure the effectiveness of the food safety management system.
  • Maintain the food safety management system, ensuring regulatory compliance and meeting internal and external accreditation requirements.
  • Collaborate with the site team to drive continuous improvement in food safety.

Requirements:

  • One GCE 'A' Level Qualification or equivalent in a science subject.
  • Relevant experience in a food-related business in a Quality Assurance/Microbiological role.
  • Knowledge of food safety management systems, HACCP, laboratory work, and standard development and auditing.
