Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Pharmacist to join our Post-Acute Medicine team at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and deliver high-quality clinical pharmacy services to post-acute medical and stroke wards.
  • Participate in the multidisciplinary team to promote cost-effective, patient-focused pharmaceutical care.
  • Provide interface and discharge liaison, and support wards & units within the Care Group.
  • Develop, implement, and audit local guidelines to ensure seamless pharmaceutical care on discharge.
  • Assist in financial reporting to the Care Group and drug budget management.
  • Work with the Principal Pharmacist, Post-Acute Medicine to extend the boundaries of professional practice.
Requirements
  • MPharm (Masters Degree)
  • Registered Pharmacist (1 year competency assessed and examined professional registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council)
  • Postgraduate Certificate in Pharmacy Practice or equivalent qualification/experience
  • Registered Independent Prescriber or willingness to complete
  • Member of the RPS faculty
  • Postgraduate Diploma in Pharmacy Practice or equivalent qualification/experience
Desirable Qualities
  • Specialist clinical knowledge and skills relevant to area of practice
  • Previous relevant specialist clinical experience
