Clinical Pharmacy Lead

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Clinical Pharmacist to lead the development of clinical pharmacy services at Great Ormond Street Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will be responsible for planning, delivering, and developing a comprehensive and responsive clinical pharmacy service.
Main Responsibilities- Lead and develop the clinical pharmacy service, including managing a team of clinical pharmacists and developing a strategy for ongoing development and evaluation.
- Provide clinical pharmacy leadership and chair the clinical pharmacy meeting.
- Develop and implement long-term strategic plans to further develop clinical pharmacy services, in conjunction with the deputy chief pharmacist.
- Identify service developments and develop business cases to support the role of clinical pharmacy services within directorates, in conjunction with directorate managers and clinicians.
- Act as a resource for clinical pharmacy issues across the trust and community, as appropriate.
- Ensure clinical supervision of pharmacy staff, in line with departmental standards, and take appropriate action to reward excellence and manage poor performance.
- Plan an annual programme of clinical audit, in conjunction with the deputy chief pharmacist.
- Uphold ethical and professional standards and behave in a positive and polite manner.
- Ensure compliance with statutory and mandatory training.
- Be accountable for own professional actions.

Person Specification- Professional registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
- MPharm or equivalent qualification.
- Clinical Pharmacy Diploma or equivalent.
- Substantial previous experience of working in a clinical pharmacy role.
- Experience of managing staff and leading projects.
- Experience of developing standards and key performance indicators.
- Experience of staff development and managing performance.
- Experience of managing change and leading service development.
- Experience of writing business cases and service development.
- Experience of delivering education and training.
- Knowledge of NHS, Local, Regional, and National Standards.
- Training or coaching/mentoring skills and staff appraisal.
