About the Role

Ackerman Pierce Ltd is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team in a community care setting. As an Occupational Therapist, you will be responsible for assessing and providing expert advice to service users and carers with complex needs in relation to their home environment.

Main Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments of service users and carers to identify their needs and develop personalized plans for home modifications and equipment.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to service users and carers on how to adapt their homes to meet their needs.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure a comprehensive approach to care.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with service users, carers, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and support.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research, best practices, and industry developments to ensure high-quality care.
Requirements
  • Previous experience working as an Occupational Therapist in a community care setting.
  • Manual handling experience and knowledge of moving and handling techniques.
  • Experience with home modifications and equipment assessments.
  • HCPC registration and eligibility to work in the UK.
  • Enhanced DBS/CRB clearance.
