Job Role Overview

Catch22 is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Teacher to join our team as a Functional Skills Specialist. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated educator to make a positive impact on the lives of our learners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach and deliver Functional Skills programmes from Entry Level to Level 2 in Maths and English, ensuring high-quality learning experiences for all students.
  • Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that fosters academic achievement, personal growth, and social development.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with learners, parents, and colleagues to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Design and deliver engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning needs and styles, promoting student engagement and motivation.
  • Monitor and evaluate student progress, identifying areas for improvement and implementing targeted interventions to support learner success.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of curriculum initiatives, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and objectives.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills, stay updated on best practices, and share expertise with colleagues.
Requirements
  • Recognised teaching qualification and relevant experience in teaching and planning.
  • Proven track record of working with students with complex needs, including those with high behaviour and additional learning needs.
  • Extensive behaviour management experience, with a focus on creating a safe and supportive learning environment.
