At Nano Fibre UK, we are excited to announce a newly created position for a Health and Safety Manager within our expanding team.

We are committed to fostering a safe and compliant work environment as we scale our operations across the UK.

The Health and Safety Manager will take a leadership role in developing, implementing, and overseeing health and safety strategies across the organisation.

This includes:

  • Strategic Leadership: Collaborating with senior management to define and implement our health and safety strategy and safety management systems.
  • Policy Development: Leading the development, implementation, and continual improvement of health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Risk Assessment: Overseeing the preparation and execution of comprehensive hazard assessments.
  • Business Reviews: Conducting regular reviews across all business areas to identify opportunities for improvement in health and safety practices.
  • Equipment Management: Ensuring the testing and servicing of company equipment is managed effectively and efficiently.
  • Record Keeping: Maintaining and overseeing all Health & Safety records and documentation to ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Training and Induction: Designing and delivering comprehensive health and safety induction programs and training sessions for employees.
  • Incident Management: Leading incident investigations and developing action plans to prevent recurrence.
  • Field Audits: Conducting field audits and preparing reports to assess compliance and identify areas for improvement.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Experience: Proven experience in a health and safety role, with a focus on management and strategic oversight.
  • Qualifications: NEBOSH General Certificate (essential); Membership of IOSH (desirable).
  • Skills: Strong analytical and organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Communication: Confident in delivering training and communicating effectively with employees at all levels.
  • Independence: Ability to work autonomously on projects while liaising with various departments.
  • Fieldwork: Comfortable working both in office environments and in the field to support diverse operational teams.
  • Adaptability: Willingness to undertake further training and professional development as required.
  • Driving License: A full UK driving licence is necessary.
  • Confidentiality: Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive matters with discretion.
