**Job Overview**

The Transformation Unit at Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled Therapy Specialist to join their team. About the Role

The Therapy Specialist will be responsible for carrying out initial neurological therapy assessments to identify post-stroke deficits and develop effective treatment plans. Working closely with the multidisciplinary team, they will ensure seamless transitions between care settings and provide expert guidance on rehabilitation potential and settings.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in occupational therapy, with experience working in a hospital setting. They will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals. A broad knowledge of current best practice in occupational therapy is essential, as is the ability to think creatively and adapt to changing circumstances.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Diploma/Degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent
  • Post-registration experience in a junior rotational post providing a broad experience in musculoskeletal/medical surgical conditions
  • Broad knowledge of current best practice in occupational therapy
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
