Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team, responsible for managing procurement activities for our UK BESS projects. The successful candidate will have experience in procurement management, contract negotiation, and supplier relationship development.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in quantity surveying, procurement or a business-related discipline and previous experience in the renewables sector. They will be an enthusiastic individual who can manage procurement activities in accordance with company procedures and act as a point of reference for business users.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage procurement activities for our UK BESS projects, including prequalification of suppliers, identification and selection of suppliers, tender launches, bid analysis, and contract negotiations.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers to improve supplier performance and promote a partnering approach to managing contracts.
  • Support the CTO procurement team to initiate and implement procurement plans, including obtaining buy-in from key internal stakeholders.
  • Perform regular reviews of the performance of framework contracts within their market areas.

Requirements:

  • Degree in quantity surveying, procurement or a business-related discipline.
  • Previous experience in the renewables sector.
  • Experience in working in a project team environment, ideally with a Commercial Management / Quantity Surveying / Procurement background.
  • MCIPS or RICS qualified (or working towards full membership).

Salary and Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary of £550 per day, paid on an inside IR35 basis. You will also receive a comprehensive benefits package, including pension scheme, health insurance, and generous annual leave entitlement.
