Job Overview

Waythrough is a leading provider of specialist social housing, offering intensive housing management and support services to individuals with health and social care needs. We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Management Specialist to join our team.

This role plays a critical part in maximising income, reducing debt and rent arrears, and managing residential leases. The successful candidate will have experience dealing with housing-related financial issues, including invoices, rent arrears, council tax, and utility charges. Knowledge of Housing Law relevant to social housing, private landlords, and tenants is also essential.

We offer a competitive salary range of £32,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on experience, and a generous benefits package, including 27 days annual leave, plus bank holidays, increasing to 32 after one year's service. Our hybrid working model allows for flexible working from home and on-site at Bowburn.

About the Role:

  • Maximise income and reduce debt and rent arrears through effective financial management.
  • Manage residential leases, providing recommendations for extensions, renewals, or disposals based on financial performance, occupancy, and property quality.
  • Support the team in identifying issues, problem-solving, and action planning.
