Job Title: Cleaning Operative
Location: Edinburgh
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
Pay Rate: Competitive hourly rate
Role Overview and Purpose
As a Cleaning Operative at ABM, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality cleaning services to client facilities in and around the building. Your tasks will include cleaning floors, dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, and spot cleaning glass doors and windows. You will also be responsible for cleaning stainless-steel fixtures and barriers, as well as maintaining the cleanliness and organization of assigned areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize lifts, wipe down external and internal stainless-steel on lift doors and frames, and remove smudges from mirrors.
- Clean restrooms, showers, and empty trash, as well as clean and sanitize fixtures, mirrors, and shower cubicle partition doors and walls.
- Set up, stock, and maintain cleaning equipment and supplies.
- Monitor and maintain sanitation and organization of assigned areas.
- Assist team leaders and supervisors as needed to ensure optimum service to clients.
Required Skills and Experience
We are looking for individuals with good interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to use their own initiative to identify and prioritize tasks, and the ability to work alone and as part of a team. A courteous and approachable manner is also essential.
