We are looking for a dedicated and passionate graduate to join our team as a SEN Teaching Assistant at Academics Ltd. In this rewarding role, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of young people with Severe, Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties.

About the Role

You will work closely with our experienced teaching staff, therapists, and support staff to deliver tailored interventions that aim to enhance students' learning, development, and language skills. Your main responsibilities will include assisting the class teacher, providing behaviour and pastoral support, and building strong relationships with students.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Assist the class teacher in providing the learning experience of students
  2. Provide behaviour and pastoral support
  3. Take an active role in forward planning with therapists
  4. Build robust and effective relationships with students
  5. Meet the individual needs of students using a practical approach
  6. Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  7. Show a caring, compassionate, and listening attitude
  8. Work 1:1 and in small groups with students
  9. Ensure safeguarding of students, following procedures
  10. Support personal care and attend staff meetings
Requirements
  • No previous experience is required
  • Right to work in the UK (no Visa sponsorship)
Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of £9,000 - £11,000 per year, Monday to Friday, term time only. Additionally, we provide on-site training, support, and CPD to ensure safeguarding of all students.
