About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Assistant to join our team in Swansea. As a Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting young people aged 16-25 who are experiencing homelessness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide reliable advice and guidance to young people
  • Work with individuals who have experienced homelessness, understanding trauma and integrating trauma-informed practice into your work
  • Support young people in a mixed rota of days and waking nights
  • Follow safeguarding and health & safety policies
  • Work with other services through multi-agency working
Requirements
  • A real passion for helping others
  • A solid understanding of the causes of youth homelessness
  • Compassion, understanding, and resilience
  • A driver with a vehicle would be highly desirable
  • A DBS on the update service or willingness to carry out a new DBS
  • Flexibility around shifts and assisting when needed
