About the Project

This NERC-funded project aims to understand the nature and origin of genomic differences between ecotypes in three-spined stickleback fish. As a Research Associate/Fellow in Population Genomics, you will play a key role in leading on analysis and publishing substantial whole-genome resequencing datasets.

Key Requirements
  • Established track record of publishing research findings in reputable journals
  • Strong background in population genomic analysis using relevant coding languages (Bash, R, Python or Julia)
  • Excellent leadership and collaboration skills
Your Responsibilities
  • Lead on analysis and publishing of substantial whole-genome resequencing datasets
  • Investigate the origin of genomic differences between ecotypes and how these are maintained by mate choice and selection
  • Collaborate with other researchers to develop and implement new methods for analyzing genomic data
