We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager, Architecture EMEIA to join our team at Burberry Limited. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating store construction and fit-out projects across Europe, Middle East & India.
Key Responsibilities- Project manage a portfolio of luxury store fit-out projects across EMEIA Region, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget and to the required design standards.
- Develop and establish project briefs, maintain stakeholder communication and ensure all project objectives are met.
- Prepare and update overall construction strategies, programmes, schedules and other documentation to monitor and track project progress.
- Manage contractor tender processes, the activities of the development team, general contractor, specialist contractors and suppliers.
- Define and maintain project cost plans, covering all aspects of planned spend.
- Analyze each works package contract, identifying key interfaces, critical path and milestones.
- Inspect on and off-site works by contractors and suppliers, monitor and verify logistics plans for projects.
- Advise on procurement strategy for all construction packages, organize purchase orders for works required and manage handover of the site to the business.
- Extensive experience in construction project delivery globally, specifically in Europe, the Middle East and India.
- Experience within luxury retail construction or other consumer-facing industries.
- Strong commercial acumen with financial and analytical capability, ability to budget and manage project costs and a solid understanding of financial reconciliation of construction-related costs.
- Proven experience with tender processes, bids and cost negotiation.
- Ability to manage matrix teams including consultants, 3rd party providers and internal resources.
- Proficient in MS Project, including creation of schedules, analysis, evaluation and amendments.
- Excellent communication skills, able to present and share information effectively and work confidently with cross-functional teams.
- Experience of managing multiple projects and a proven track record of delivery on time and to budget.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken) essential; any other languages useful (specifically European/Arabic).
