SEND Teaching Assistant - Psychology Graduate

Connex Education is working with a SEND school in Sheffield to recruit a Psychology Graduate to work as a SEND Teaching Assistant on a full-time basis.

About the Role

The successful candidate will provide guidance and support to individuals in a mentoring relationship, helping pupils set and achieve personal and academic goals. They will share knowledge and expertise in a specific field or area of interest, assist pupils in developing new skills and overcoming challenges, and act as a role model and provide positive reinforcement to pupils.

Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized support to pupils, promoting their social, emotional, and academic development.
  • Develop and implement personalized learning plans to meet the needs of pupils with SEND.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to ensure a cohesive and effective support system.
  • Communicate effectively with pupils, parents, and colleagues to ensure a smooth and supportive learning environment.
