About the Role

Apetito is a leading food manufacturing company seeking a Head of Health, Safety, Fire, and Environment to join our senior team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health, safety, and environmental sustainability of our team and operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive health, safety, and environmental management system to minimize risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Lead the development of a "Work Safe, Home Safe" culture, promoting a safe working environment and encouraging employees to report hazards and near misses.
  • Collaborate with the sustainability team to improve environmental performance and reduce the company's environmental footprint.
  • Develop and maintain a team of Safety Champions throughout the business, ensuring that all employees are aware of their responsibilities and roles in maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to mitigate risks.
  • Develop and implement training programs to ensure that all employees have the necessary knowledge and skills to perform their jobs safely and efficiently.
  • Work closely with senior management to ensure that health, safety, and environmental considerations are integrated into all business decisions.
