About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Orthopaedic Scrub Practitioner to join our team at University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust. As a key member of our theatre team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to patients undergoing orthopaedic procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional patient care during the perioperative period, ensuring a safe and comfortable experience for patients and their families.
  • Assist with projects to develop and enhance patient care, participating in the evaluation of patient outcomes and contributing to the improvement of our services.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care.
  • Manage clinical risk and report any incidents or near misses, adhering to Trust policies and procedures.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development, maintaining active NMC/HPC registration and staying up-to-date with the latest evidence-based practices.
Requirements
  • Registered with NMC/HCPC
  • Diploma/ Degree in a related healthcare subject or demonstrable equivalent experience
  • Proven evidence of recent CPD
  • Proven knowledge of and ability to apply evidence-based practice to patient care
