Operatives - Packing and Production

We're seeking a skilled Operative to join our Castleford team, where you'll play a critical role in the smooth running of our operations. As a key member of our Operations team, you'll provide comprehensive knowledge and technical skill to ensure the highest quality and food safety standards are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting Operators to achieve departmental targets
  • Comprehensive training to become a fully qualified Machine Operator
  • Following Health & Safety guidelines
  • Ensuring good levels of housekeeping are maintained within the departments
  • Transporting product / materials as required
  • Ensuring the highest quality and food safety standards are met
  • Completing any relevant documentation
  • Maintaining the working area to a safe, hygienic standard
  • Inspecting product to quality standards
  • Cleaning to the required standards
  • Removing waste as and when required

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in Food Manufacturing or wider manufacturing – Ideal but not essential
  • Awareness / Knowledge of Health & Safety / Food Hygiene standards – Ideal but not essential
  • Good level of verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work well as part of a team
  • Reliable and supportive team player
  • Ability to use initiative and work independently
