About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Physiotherapist to join our dynamic Outpatient Pelvic Health Physiotherapy Service at West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide physiotherapy care in the outpatient pelvic health physiotherapy setting.
  • Assess and treat patients with diverse pelvic floor dysfunction presentations and complex physical and psychological conditions.
  • Communicate with relevant colleagues, multidisciplinary team members, and patients, relatives, and carers to facilitate a team approach to patient care.
  • Hold responsibility for own caseload, working without direct supervision.
  • Supervise, educate, and assess more junior physiotherapists.
  • Undertake evidence-based audit and assist in the implementation of specific changes to practice or contribute to service protocols.
  • Participate in virtual consultation models, when required.
Requirements
  • Physiotherapy degree qualification or equivalent.
  • Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy or equivalent recognized by the Health Care Professions Council.
  • Documented evidence of Continued Professional Development.
  • Understanding of physiotherapy structure in the NHS.
  • Standards - Health Care Professions Council/Chartered Society of Physiotherapy.
  • Clinical problem-solving ability.
  • Skill in physiotherapeutic techniques.
  • Highly developed physical skills, dexterity, coordination, and sensory skills for assessment and manual treatment of patients.
  • Ability to assess patient conditions, establish a diagnosis, and formulate a specialized treatment plan from a range of modalities.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • Post-registration experience as a physiotherapist in pelvic health physiotherapy (area of specialism).
  • UK NHS experience.
