Information Security Analyst

We are seeking an experienced Information Security Analyst to join our team at AJ Bell Management Limited. As a key member of our Security Operations team, you will play a critical role in managing and reporting Information Security Risks faced by our Technology Services department.
Key Responsibilities:- Monitor and respond to security alerts and events, prioritizing based on impact and urgency.
- Analyze large data sets to determine key events and impact of alerts.
- Handle colleague queries relating to information security and act as a point of escalation for service delivery teams.
- Support Identity Access Management activity, ensuring access to our systems, servers, and data is appropriate and in accordance with our security policies.
- Assist in the assessment, planning, and coordination of patch management activities for internal systems and hardware.
- Operate vulnerability scanning to confirm the effectiveness of patching.
- Support the administration of email and web gateways.
- Monitor external information sources to make recommendations on the latest security threats and vulnerabilities affecting our technical estate.
- Responsible for the analysis and dissemination of threat intelligence data to key internal stakeholders.
- Generate monthly metrics and key performance indicators.
- Act as a first responder and on-call support for incident response.
- Develop and manage phishing simulation campaigns.
- Extensive experience in security incident response in an enterprise environment.
- Extensive experience in vulnerability management, including identification, prioritization, and remediation.
- Strong understanding and knowledge of Information Security risk management tools and techniques.
- Experience of Information Security standards and frameworks.
- Awareness and understanding of the Information Security threat landscape.
- Understanding of Information Security solutions, such as email/web gateways, SIEM, and endpoint protection.
- Knowledge/experience working with firewalls is highly advantageous.
- Awareness of Cloud security solutions and standards is highly advantageous.
- Experience working within recognized Information Security frameworks and best practices, such as ISO27001 and NIST.
- Experience in an Information Security role gained in a financial services or e-commerce environment is preferred.
- Ability to challenge approach, strategy, and implementation to ensure Information Security is consistently considered and improved.

- Ability to plan, organize, and follow through on assigned tasks and complete with little or no prompting from management.
