About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Planning Solicitor to join our team as a Principal Planning Solicitor - Lead Advisor. As a key member of our Planning and Highways team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert advice on planning, highways, and environmental law to officers and elected members.
  • Lead on complex projects, driving forward innovative legal solutions and influencing key decisions.
  • Supervise junior colleagues and manage a portfolio of cases, including s106 and 278 agreements, planning enforcement, and public law.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver high-quality results and achieve business objectives.
What You'll Need
  • Qualified Solicitor, Barrister, or Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives with experience in planning law.
  • Strong knowledge of planning, highways, and environmental law, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on delivering results.
