We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Warehouse Operative to join our team at Herefordshire and Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust. As a key member of our warehouse team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and accurate storage, retrieval, and distribution of equipment and supplies.
Key Responsibilities- Gain knowledge of equipment and select it from stock based on scheduled plans, with support from senior drivers and warehouse supervisors.
- Develop skills for handling equipment, including manual handling processes and risk assessments to ensure safety and wellbeing.
- Communicate effectively with patients, carers, and staff when preparing equipment, and liaise with Warehouse Supervisors as needed.
- Quality check work prior to transferring equipment to the main warehouse.
- Clean returned equipment, maintain a clean and safe warehouse, and perform duties associated with stock maintenance.
- Adhere to policies and procedures related to Infection Prevention and Control, COSHH, Health and Safety, and Manual Handling guidelines.
- Basic Health & Safety awareness.
- Awareness of the confidential nature of the post.
- Previous experience in stock control systems (desirable).
- Has worked in a warehouse environment for stock selection (essential).
- Working knowledge of NHS (desirable).
