Facilities Engineer Job Summary:

Emcor UK is seeking an experienced Facilities Engineer to join our team in Stevenage. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance and testing of Local Exhaust Ventilation (LEV) systems across our contract sites.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform thorough examinations and testing of LEV systems in accordance with industry best practice, legislation, and company procedures.
  • Carry out repairs and assist contractors in enabling repair works.
  • Identify anomalies and adjust where possible to maintain pharmaceutical ventilated enclosures to an approved standard.
  • Provide updates on changes to work orders or asset information.
  • Take accountability for work undertaken and obtain quotes from suppliers and third-party contractors when necessary.

Skills and Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have experience in a related industry and possess the following skills:

  • Be able to achieve high levels of operational performance.
  • Perform DOP testing on various equipment including Class 2 Biological Safety Cabinets, AFOS ventilated tables, and other LEV devices.
  • Understand the principles of good control practice for hazardous substances and the role of LEV in this regard.
  • Demonstrate good understanding of current standards and testing methods related to LEV systems.
  • Produce suitable records of examination and testing results as required by regulatory guidance and codes of practice.
