Contracts Manager Opportunity

18 Recruitment Limited is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to join their team. This exciting opportunity has arisen due to a recent contract win with a leading contractor in the social housing sector.

The successful candidate will work in partnership with the local authority client, responsible for the full running of the contract, including:

  • Program planning and scheduling of works
  • KPI monitoring and performance improvement
  • Management of health and safety on site
  • Management of a direct workforce, including Contracts Supervisors, Multi-Trade Operatives, and Admin/Planning Team

The Contracts Manager will be the main point of contact for the client and will be responsible for managing day-to-day repairs, including:

  • Pre and post inspection of larger projects
  • Resolving escalated complaints
  • Meeting staff training needs
  • Organising sub-contractors and work allocation
  • Organising out-of-hours rotas
  • Ensuring health and safety levels are maintained

Requirements:

  • Proven track record in leading and delivering response maintenance contracts with public sector/housing association clients
  • Experience mobilising public sector contracts is an advantage
  • IT literacy with good knowledge of Microsoft packages
  • Ability to understand client/contract requirements to maximise productivity and measure improvement
  • Excellent written and oral presentation skills
  • Good understanding of health and safety legislation
  • Experience of managing and improving internal and external customer relationships and conflict handling
  • Experience managing a large directly employed workforce, including Supervisors and Multi-Trade Operatives
