Contracts Manager Opportunity
18 Recruitment Limited is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to join their team. This exciting opportunity has arisen due to a recent contract win with a leading contractor in the social housing sector.
The successful candidate will work in partnership with the local authority client, responsible for the full running of the contract, including:
- Program planning and scheduling of works
- KPI monitoring and performance improvement
- Management of health and safety on site
- Management of a direct workforce, including Contracts Supervisors, Multi-Trade Operatives, and Admin/Planning Team
The Contracts Manager will be the main point of contact for the client and will be responsible for managing day-to-day repairs, including:
- Pre and post inspection of larger projects
- Resolving escalated complaints
- Meeting staff training needs
- Organising sub-contractors and work allocation
- Organising out-of-hours rotas
- Ensuring health and safety levels are maintained
Requirements:
- Proven track record in leading and delivering response maintenance contracts with public sector/housing association clients
- Experience mobilising public sector contracts is an advantage
- IT literacy with good knowledge of Microsoft packages
- Ability to understand client/contract requirements to maximise productivity and measure improvement
- Excellent written and oral presentation skills
- Good understanding of health and safety legislation
- Experience of managing and improving internal and external customer relationships and conflict handling
- Experience managing a large directly employed workforce, including Supervisors and Multi-Trade Operatives
