Client Accounting Specialist

This role will be focused on someone working in the office to assist the outsourced team and the cloud team manager in ensuring the smooth operation of financial processes.
Assist with management of the offshoring bookkeepers including updating their work program and ensuring that they stay within budget on their allocated tasks.
Run monthly/weekly reports to keep up to date with the team's task progress on VAT returns/MOSS returns/YE accounts and bookkeeping deadlines.
Review and file VAT returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with HMRC regulations.
Be knowledgeable about MTD and stay up to date with any changes in HMRC's VAT regulations, providing guidance to the team.
Liaise with PAs when year-end accounts are ready to be booked in, ensuring seamless integration with the accounting process.
Answer bookkeepers' queries and liaise directly with clients, providing exceptional customer service.
Ensure deadlines are met and work is planned accordingly, utilizing project management skills to optimize efficiency.
Ensure bookkeeping jobs are done as efficiently as possible by following the efficiency checklist and making the necessary improvements.
Review bookkeeping work to ensure TB is accurate and provide necessary training so bookkeepers learn from their mistakes.
Check bookkeeping postings to ensure postings are 100% accurate, maintaining the highest level of financial integrity.
Required Skills and Experience:ACCA/AAT qualified or qualified by experience, with a strong understanding of accountancy and tax principles.
Extensive experience in using Xero, with certification in Xero and knowledge of Dext Prepare.
Excellent communication and training skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex financial concepts to team members.
