Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and finalise statutory accounts for submission to Companies House and HMRC
  • Communicate with clients as necessary, providing exceptional customer service
  • Update client files, checklists, records, and procedures to ensure seamless operations
  • Conduct financial analyses, planning, and financial modelling to drive business growth
Audit Expertise:
  • Work as part of an audit team or take responsibility for running the audit, working directly with clients under manager supervision
  • Assist in the planning, execution, and finalisation of all areas of the audit assignment for manager or partner review
  • Identify risk matters and discuss the impact with the audit manager and/or partner, exercising judgement within agreed parameters
  • Engage with senior client staff to gain a deep understanding of their business and ensure efficient execution of the audit
  • Monitor the progress of the audit against pre-approved budgets, ensuring timely completion
  • Supervise, coach, and develop junior members of the audit team
  • Ensure compliance with internal and external requirements, including regulatory and risk management standards
Requirements:
  • 3+ years PQE experience in accounting and audit
  • ACA/ICAS qualification or equivalent
  • Excellent interpersonal and client-facing skills, with a strong ability to communicate complex ideas
  • Highly motivated and enthusiastic self-starter with a can-do attitude
  • Pragmatic, robust, diplomatic, and resourceful, with the ability to adapt quickly to different situations and personalities
  • A team player with strong written and verbal communication skills, and an excellent eye for detail
  • Strong client service focus, with good Excel and modelling skills
  • Able to think broadly and demonstrate a high level of initiative
  • Strong influencing and persuasion skills
