About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Mental Health Practitioner to join our team at Greater Manchester Mental Health. As a key member of our Salford Dual Diagnosis Team, you will play a vital role in providing community-based support and assessment to individuals with complex mental health and substance misuse needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide community-based engagement and assessment to clients with complex mental health and substance misuse needs in partnership with mental health and addiction services.
  • Work alongside council staff, drug and alcohol workers, police, and homeless outreach workers to provide mental health support to rough sleepers.
  • Assess mental health needs for homeless individuals who are not engaged with mainstream mental health services.
  • Participate in service planning and future development of mental health support for homeless individuals within the Salford district.
Requirements
  • Qualification in a relevant profession (e.g., Mental Health Nursing, Social Work, Occupational Therapy).
  • Experience working in a community setting, preferably with individuals with complex mental health needs.
  • Knowledge of mental health and dual diagnosis principles.
