We are seeking a highly skilled Administrative Support Specialist to join our team at New Horizon Youth Centre. This is a full-time position, 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with some work required over the Christmas period.

Job Description

The successful candidate will assist in the management of NHYC finance systems, including bookkeeping and maintaining purchase and payables systems. They will also be responsible for maintaining accurate payables and petty cash systems, ensuring that all received invoices and petty cash claims are coded correctly.

  • Compile weekly BACS payments, ensuring that all outstanding invoices are correctly identified for payment.
  • Reconcile supplier statements to ensure the ledger is accurate and up-to-date, addressing any discrepancies as they arise.
  • Process emergency accommodation bookings for young people and other Young people-related purchases as instructed by budget holders.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  1. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and produce accurate financial reports.
  2. High level of integrity and discretion in handling sensitive financial information.
  3. Experience of using financial systems and producing Excel-based analysis.
  4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  5. Experience of working as part of a team as well as using own initiative.
Salary and Benefits

The salary for this position is £30,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on experience.
