This role involves providing support to children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs (SEMH) and Emotional Needs, helping them build confidence and essential life skills in a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Key aspects of this job include working collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to develop behaviour plans tailored to each child's needs. You will also provide individualised support to children, focusing on building their self-esteem and developing positive relationships with peers and adults. Additionally, you will contribute to the creation of a supportive classroom environment that promotes social, emotional, and academic growth.

Requirements for this position include:
  • Knowledge of effective strategies for managing challenging behaviour in educational settings.
  • Previous experience working with children who have SEMH or emotional needs.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, allowing you to build strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.


The salary for this Behaviour Support Assistant position is around £29,800 per annum, reflecting the significance of your role in supporting the education and well-being of our students.
