Job Description: As a UK Public Affairs Manager, you will be responsible for leading the development of policy positions on key issues affecting stroke survivors or those at risk of stroke. Your primary goal will be to ensure that submissions are backed up by evidence and informed by those affected by stroke.

About Us: Our charity provides specialist support, funds critical research, and campaigns to make sure people affected by stroke get the very best care and support to rebuild their lives. We are the only charity in the UK providing lifelong support for all stroke survivors and their families.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Leading the development of policy positions on key issues affecting stroke survivors or those at risk of stroke.
  2. Identifying and drafting consultation responses or similar policy-based responses.
  3. Building relationships with policy stakeholders and stakeholder mapping and management.
  4. Meaningly involving beneficiaries in policy work.
  5. Providing expert policy advice and support to colleagues across the organisation.

What You Will Need:
  • Experience of leading the development of policy positions or statements.
  • Ability to identify and draft consultation responses or similar policy-based responses.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven ability to involve beneficiaries in policy work.
  • Residency in the UK and the right to work in the UK.

Salary: £45,000 - £60,000 per annum.
