Job Overview:
We are seeking a talented Lead Electronics Engineer to join our team in Bedhampton, Hampshire. This exciting opportunity involves designing and developing cutting-edge electronics products for the aerospace industry. As a Lead Electronics Engineer, you will be responsible for driving innovation and delivering results in a fast-paced environment. You will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, from concept creation to industrialization, and will be supported by a dedicated team of engineers and technicians.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop high-performance electronics products from concept creation to qualification and industrialization.
  • Support business operations with day-to-day sustaining activities, including supply chain management and reliability concerns.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for electronic products within the Eaton Bedhampton portfolio.
  • Drive cost reduction initiatives by reviewing existing designs for opportunities to reduce costs.
  • Manage obsolescence risks and implement proactive changes as required.
  • Liaise with customers and suppliers to resolve reliability and manufacturability issues.

Requirements:
  • Strong background in analogue electronics and/or power electronics design experience.
  • Engineering degree or equivalent with excellent technical problem-solving skills.
  • Working knowledge of Matlab/Simulink, Saber, or similar analogue simulation tools is a distinct advantage.
  • Understanding of product development processes and design techniques for electromagnetic compatibility (EMC).
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to generate and communicate clear status reports.
