About the Opportunity:

Suffolk County Council's Transitions service is seeking an experienced Senior Practitioner/Social Worker to lead their team and drive service improvements.

This role involves overseeing innovative assessments, supporting individuals and their networks, and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.

As a key member of the team, you will work closely with colleagues from various backgrounds, sharing your expertise and knowledge to deliver exceptional services.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of professionals in delivering high-quality services, promoting a culture of collaboration and continuous learning
  • Advise and support individuals, their families, and carers to achieve positive outcomes
  • Develop forecasting measures to inform future service needs and contribute to the development of Suffolk's services
  • Work closely with stakeholders, including children, adult, educational, health, and community services

Our Requirements:

  • A Social Work qualification recognised by Social Work England and registration with Social Work England
  • Proven experience in leadership roles, preferably within social care or related sectors
  • Awareness of current trends and innovations in service delivery, including digital technologies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

What You Can Expect:

  • A competitive annual salary of £45,380-£55,634 (pro rata for part-time), pending pay award
  • A 37-hour working week with flexible options
  • A fixed-term contract until 06/30/2025
