About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and inspirational Learning Support Assistant to join our team at Sexton's Manor Primary School. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting a pupil with additional needs, providing a positive and consistent relationship and creating a calm, secure, and consistent working environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work independently with the pupil, as well as with the class teacher and the SENCo, to provide targeted support and promote inclusion.
  • Develop and maintain a positive and consistent relationship with the pupil, focusing on creating a secure and supportive environment.
  • Collaborate with the class teacher and SENCo to develop and implement individualized support plans, ensuring the pupil's needs are met and their progress is monitored.
  • Provide support with daily routines, such as managing behavior, supporting with transitions, and assisting with academic tasks.
  • Contribute to the development of a positive and inclusive school culture, promoting the values of respect, empathy, and understanding.
Requirements
  • Experience working with pupils with specific learning needs or completion of relevant training.
  • Ability to form positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
