About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to join our team at Recruit Mint. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for leading engineering activities within our manufacturing facilities and ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engineering Leadership: Manage engineering activities, including maintenance, quality control, and process improvement initiatives.
- Product Quality: Ensure that our products meet quality standards, cost objectives, and regulatory requirements.
- Planned Preventative Maintenance: Schedule and conduct PPMs on time to minimize downtime and optimize production.
- Engineering Strategy: Develop and maintain an effective and efficient engineering strategy to drive business growth and improvement.
- Standards and Procedures: Establish and update standards and procedures for all site engineering activities to ensure compliance and best practices.
- Goal Achievement: Use organizational and local data to prioritize and achieve engineering goals, aligning with company objectives.
- Collaboration: Work with site management, R&D, and production teams to optimize plant productivity, utilities management, and environmental compliance.
- Supplier Management: Manage site utilities suppliers for adequate and timely resources during emergencies or outages.
- Technical Compliance: Collaborate with the Technical team to maintain compliance and good order of premises.
- Root Cause Analysis: Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for equipment failures.
- Training and Development: Participate in relevant in-house and external training programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
- Leadership Experience: Extensive leadership experience, preferably in FMCG environments.
- Education: HNC or equivalent in Electrical Engineering / Mechanical Engineering.
- Qualifications: Mechanical / electrical qualification or equivalent, IOSH Certificate, Level 3 Food Hygiene Certificate, and Level 3 HACCP Certificate.
- Communication Skills: Confidence in presentation, communication, and negotiating with professional peer groups.
- Project Management: Efficient in delivering objectives and key measures, ability to lead engineering segments of audits, and capability to manage priorities and projects across the organization.
Working Conditions:
- Salary: Up to £50,000.
- Working Hours: 45-hour week, Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 17:00, with some flexibility required.
