Senior Engineering Manager

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Engineering Manager to join our team at a forward-thinking FMCG company. As a key member of the management team, you will work with various departments to improve manufacturing processes, health, safety, and environment, while driving and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Lead engineering activities within manufacturing and on-site facilities to ensure products meet quality standards and cost objectives.
- Schedule and conduct PPMs (Planned Preventative Maintenance) on time to minimize downtime and optimize plant productivity.
- Develop and maintain an effective and efficient engineering strategy to drive business growth and improvement.
- Establish and update standards and procedures for all site engineering activities to ensure compliance and good order.
- Collaborate with R&D and production teams to develop new products and processes, and work with the Technical team to maintain compliance and good order of premises.
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for equipment failures to minimize downtime and optimize plant productivity.
- Participate in relevant in-house and external training programmes to stay up-to-date with industry best practices and regulations.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Extensive leadership experience, preferably in FMCG environments.
- HNC or equivalent in Electrical Engineering / Mechanical Engineering.
- Mechanical / electrical qualification or equivalent.
- IOSH Certificate Level 3.
- Food Hygiene Certificate Level 3.
- HACCP Certificate.
- Confidence in presentation, communication, and negotiating with professional peer groups.
- Efficient in delivering objectives and key measures.
- Ability to lead engineering segments of audits.
- Capability to manage priorities and projects across the organisation.
This role offers a competitive salary of up to £50,000, a 45-hour week, and Monday to Friday working hours with some flexibility required.
