About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Gardener to join our team at HC-One. As a key member of our Gardening team, you will be responsible for maintaining and presenting the gardens and grounds of our Care Homes in the Nottingham and Derby area to the highest standard.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and present gardens and grounds to a high standard, including planting seasonal foliage, grass-cutting, shrub maintenance, and pruning.
  • Undertake general gardening duties, including watering of hanging baskets, eradication of weeds, and tidying of pathways, walkways, and driveways.
  • Perform maintenance of gardening machinery and tools, and carry out regular checks as required.
  • Work closely with the Estates team to undertake salt gritting and snow clearance as needed.
  • Ensure the implementation of the Care Home's Health and Safety policy, and Emergency and Fire procedures.
Requirements
  • Ability to drive and hold a valid driving license.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends and bank holidays.
