About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting dentists during various dental procedures, preparing and sterilizing instruments and equipment, and ensuring the dental surgery is clean and well-organized. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be able to work well in a team as well as independently, and have a strong organizational skillset.

Responsibilities

  • Procedure Assistance: Assisting dentists during various dental procedures
  • Sterilization and Cleaning: Preparing and sterilizing instruments and equipment, ensuring the dental surgery is clean and well-organized
  • Record Keeping: Recording medical information and maintaining patient records
  • Patient Support: Providing support and reassurance to patients
  • Protocol Compliance: Adhering to health and safety protocols
  • Teamwork: Working collaboratively with the rest of the team to ensure seamless running of the practice
  • Education: Educating patients on oral hygiene practices
  • Inventory Management: Managing inventory and ordering supplies as needed

Requirements

  • Certification: NEBDN or equivalent certification
  • Experience: Post qualification experience in a dental practice essential
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work well in a team as well as independently, strong organizational skills and attention to detail, compassionate and patient-centred approach, proficiency in computer skills and dental software

Compensation

The salary for this role is estimated to be around £28,000 - £38,000 per annum, based on industry standards and location.
