Job Description: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated SEN Teacher to join our vibrant and supportive team at a primary school in Sevenoaks. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality education tailored to the individual needs of SEN students.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons adapted to the varying abilities and needs of SEN students.\
  • Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with other staff members and external specialists.\
  • Use a range of teaching methods and resources to accommodate different learning styles.\
  • Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing regular feedback to students, parents, and colleagues.\
  • Work closely with support staff, therapists, and other professionals to ensure holistic support for each child.\
  • Engage with parents and carers to maintain open and effective communication regarding their child's progress and needs.\

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.\
  • Proven experience working with children with Special Educational Needs in a primary school setting.\
  • Strong understanding of SEN best practices and current educational frameworks.\
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children with diverse needs.\
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.\
  • The salary for this position is approximately £38,000 - £46,525 per annum, depending on experience.\
  • This is a permanent position, offering a range of benefits including pension contributions, CPD opportunities, and social events.\
