Join a leading healthcare organization as a Vitreoretina Specialist at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. This one-year fellowship offers a unique opportunity to specialize in the surgical treatment of retinal diseases.

The role involves working within a multi-disciplinary team, providing and developing care for patients with retinal diseases and allied disorders. You will be responsible for investigating and treating patients, gaining surgical experience commensurate with your prior experience and ability.

The ideal candidate would be a CCT holder or equivalent who wishes to specialize in the surgical treatment of retinal diseases. The post is not a Deanery TSC and requires some general ophthalmology provisions and on-call commitments.

Main Responsibilities

The main responsibilities of this role include:

  1. Working within the multi-disciplinary team to provide and develop care for patients with retinal diseases and allied disorders.
  2. Investigating and treating patients with retinal diseases.
  3. Gaining surgical experience commensurate with prior experience and ability.
  4. Participating in multi-disciplinary meetings and contributing to audit and clinical governance programs.
Person Specification

The person specification for this role includes:

  • MRCOphth or equivalent qualification.
  • Other higher degree or diploma (e.g. MD).
  • Management course and/or qualification.
Salary and Benefits
