FP&A Business Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled FP&A Business Analyst to join our commercial finance team at Bauer Media Group.

This role will involve working closely with the Financial Controller and other key stakeholders to analyze and understand monthly revenues and costs.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Proactively own the reporting of costs across several areas, including premises, broadcast & digital distribution, technology & engineering.
  • Prepare monthly forecasts and annual budgets for these areas.
  • Manage review processes for accruals & prepayments at month end.
  • Input into the preparation of month-end reporting to key UK stakeholders and creation of management packs with reports that provide a robust, reliable, and clear view of costs across the relevant departments.
  • Business partnering with the COO, Broadcast & Technology Director, Head of Distribution, Head of Property & Facilities & proactively support the business in making decisions.
  • Provide fast, informed, and independent appraisals to management for projects to be undertaken by the business.
  • Provide value-adding support and analysis to the business on operational business decisions through modelling of financial and non-financial outcomes of alternative scenarios and advise the business accordingly.
  • Proactively own the process for reporting to external bodies such as Ofcom, and the music royalty bodies.
Requirements:
  • Qualified or near/part-qualified accountant (CIMA, ACA, ACCA)
  • Financially numerate with strong Excel skills and other business analysis tools.
  • Ability to manage a busy workload in a time-pressured environment.
  • Great team working skills, and the ability to support others in the team as needed.
  • Confidence in your interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate key updates on a timely basis.
  • Systems experience with SAP & SAP Analytics Cloud is favourable but not mandatory.
  • The ideal candidate will have worked in a similar financial analyst role.
