Financial Analyst Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst to join our commercial finance team at Bauer Media Group.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial analysis and a passion for finance, with excellent Excel skills and experience with SAP and SAP Analytics Cloud.

As a Financial Analyst, you will be responsible for:

  • Preparing monthly forecasts and annual budgets for various areas, including premises, broadcast, and digital distribution.
  • Managing review processes for accruals and prepayments at month-end.
  • Inputting into the preparation of month-end reporting to key stakeholders and creating management packs with reports that provide a clear view of costs across relevant departments.
  • Business partnering with the COO, Broadcast and Technology Director, and other key stakeholders to support business decisions.
  • Providing fast, informed, and independent appraisals to management for projects to be undertaken by the business.
  • Providing value-adding support and analysis to the business on operational business decisions through modeling of financial and non-financial outcomes of alternative scenarios.

The successful candidate will have:

  • A qualified or near/part-qualified accountant (CIMA, ACA, ACCA) with strong financial analysis skills.
  • Excellent Excel skills and experience with SAP and SAP Analytics Cloud.
  • Great team working skills and the ability to support others in the team as needed.
  • Confidence in their interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate key updates on a timely basis.
