Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Sustainability Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring our environmental objectives are met throughout the full life-cycle of our operations, both onshore and offshore.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with environmental statutory provisions and internal policies, including maintaining ISO 14001 & 45001 accreditations.
  • Prepare and submit permit applications, including PETS and SAT applications, for drilling, pipeline operations, wells, production operations, decommissioning, and standalone activities.
  • Administer the EEMS database, setting OSPAR EEMS requirements, and preparing OPEPS, Environmental Impact Assessments, and Environmental Statements.
  • Propose and monitor annual environmental targets and objectives, submitting weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual environmental returns.
  • Manage approved permits and consents, PON 1 and PON 2 reporting, OCR and OPPC non-compliance notifications, and chemical tracking.
  • Record environmental training, exercises, and drills, submitting annual returns to BEIS.
  • Liaise with other West of Shetland Operators to exchange environmental information and lessons learned.
  • Represent Prax at UK O&G Enviro Forums and lead environmental survey responses and consultations.
  • Manage ES commitment lists, interface with BES, TFMC, and PFML regarding environmental matters, and participate in gas management monitoring and strategy development.
  • Ensure compliance with HSSE&Q corporate policies and applicable legislation, participate in development as appropriate, and establish, review, and revise environmental policy and plans.
  • Demonstrate proactive environmental leadership, compliance with all Company HSSE&Q protocols, processes, and procedures, and support Aberdeen-based ERSC response facilities as required.

Requirements

  • Technical degree or equivalent with relevant application to the oil and gas industry.
  • Chartered Member of a professional environmental body.
  • ISO 14001 Lead Auditor certification.
  • Ability to communicate with technical and other discipline specialists, strong communication, influencing, and presentation skills, and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Self-driven to meet work targets and deadlines, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and ability to work both independently and as part of multi-disciplined teams.
  • At least 10 years' industry experience, highly motivated with excellent analytical and interpersonal skills, and ability to work to tight deadlines and perform effectively under pressure.
